ABSTRACT: This study examines the pivotal role of early childhood education (ECE) in reducing behavior issues among young children, crucial for their social and emotional development. Behavior issues can impact learning outcomes and social interactions in early childhood settings. The objectives are to (1) assess the correlation between participation in ECE programs and reduced behavior issues, (2) evaluate the effectiveness of behavior management strategies in ECE curricula, and (3) examine changes in children's social skills and emotional regulation. A survey design is employed to gather comprehensive data on behavior patterns and management practices. A purposive sample of 140 children from preschools in Ogun State was selected. The case study focuses on preschools recognized for their successful behavior management approaches. Findings revealed a significant decrease in behavior issues among children enrolled in ECE programs, effective implementation of behavior management strategies, and positive changes in children's social skills. Recommendations include integrating evidence-based behavior management techniques into ECE curricula and providing professional development for educators in effective behavior support strategies.
